How to Write a Resume : A Step-by-Step Resume Writing

Seeking for a job in certain company, of course you need to make an application. Usually it contains a cover letterand resume or curriculum vitae. However, certain company may give you other basic requirements. In this article, we will talk about how to write a resume. Whether you are a professional or fresh graduate, you should make a best and good resume. Does not mean when you are a professional and have a lot of working experience, you can write better resume then them who are a fresh graduate. Yet, making a good resume will help you to be accepted or get interviewed.
You know, it is not hard to make a good resume. You just need to see some points. This point will help you in giving some information about you and about your achievement. The way you deliver your information is important. Thus, let see this following points below:
  1. Try to make an effective resume. A good resume will have good summary of your qualifications. This qualification is an important thing from you to attract the company. Usually it contains the details of your skills, education, and work history. Yet, you also can add your objective, summary statement, skill, or career highlights.
  2. Of course as professional or fresh graduate, you have a lot of experience. Though you experience is not about real working or just an internship, you should write it down. Then, make list of your work or achievement experience is very good idea. You can use bullet and numbering to make it easy to read. You can do this format both for your education, achievements, and work experience.
  3. Choose your resume style. Do you know that resume has some styles? Well, you can use a chronological, functional, and combination resumes style. Most people will choose the chronological because it is pretty easy and common resume type. When you choose the functional, it means that you will focus on your skill and abilities. If, you use the combination resume, then you will combine the chronological and functional resume.
  4. Use template! Yet, you do not be confused. You can use any template from Microsoft Word or just make your own resume format. If you decide to use resume template, you just need to edit it with your own information. To make it clearer, let see some resume example in this below:
